New Years Goal for 2011

Happy New Year:

This is going to be my year. I have set goals for myself that I know I will accomplish. As hard as it can be at at times, to start, stop, and start goals again. I see nothing wrong in finishing goals that once were active goals that went to the waist side so to speak. I have to do the same thing and pick myself up and continue forward.

I blew up my diet this Holiday season by 4lbs. Not by eating a lot, but my drinking too much good beer. I am half German, so drinking good beer is part of my DNA, so it's hard to give it up completely same goes for wine and hard liquor.

4 lbs might not seem like a lot of weight to gain, but for me its huge. I have set some goals for myself for this year. They include:

1.  Working out 6 days a week at the gym for 2 or more hrs. Which will include Yoga and a personal trainer appointment; stepping up my gym routine to include running the track 1-2x per week to start
2.  To complete a 5 or 10k Run before the year 2011 is over.
3.  To purchase a Tennis Racket.
4.  To purchase Running Shoes
5.  Make a workout video
6.  To write weekly on this blog.
7. To breath and have fun accomplishing my goals.

    Also, good luck with your races. My goal is to run a marathon, but it starts with baby steps just like you're taking. I can't wait to hear all about it !
